Sustainability

As time goes on, demand and expectation for ethical and sustainable practices within every industry is increasing across the globe.

Within the jewellery industry, the controversial history of diamond and gemstone mining is often at the forefront of these discussions. Devastating impacts on the environment and ecosystem, as well as exploitation and poor conditions for workers have been widely publicised, with many consumers moving away from diamonds as the default stone of choice for engagement and wedding rings as a result.

The past two decades has seen the introduction and subsequent rise in popularity of laboratory created gemstones, which is a much more ethical and eco-friendly practice.

The Sustainability of Moissanite

With naturally occurring moissanite being incredibly rare, all moissanite is now laboratory created, which synthesises the chemical composition of the stone and allows impeccable quality to be the standard.

Creating a synthetic gemstone means much of the process makes minimal impact on the environment and ecosystems, and allows pricing to generally remain lower than that of mined stones.

At Eternal Brilliance Moissanite, we manufacture exceptional moissanite while maintaining sustainable and ethical practices across our business, and are proud to be contributing to positive change in the jewellery industry.
